Scarborough men arrested on suspicion of money laundering; thousands of pounds found in car

Two men from Scarborough were arrested on suspicion of money laundering.

Police officers stopped the car they were travelling in on the Whitby to Guisborough Road at Scaling Dam on Friday.

After searching the car, officers discovered a large amount of cash – believed to amount to several thousands of pounds.

The pair - aged 28 and 29 - were arrested on suspicion of money laundering.
